JOURNEY TO THE ISLAND
Getting there
The closest main town is Sayaxché about an hour away on boat. You must arrive to Sayaxché and from there take a boat to the hotel. The hotel is only accessible by boat so be sure to book your boat with the hotel crew so they can arrange. Usually the boat captain will stay at Chimino´s and take you to the sites you want to visit during the day. The boat is not included in the fee.
from flores
Sayaxché is only 45 min away from Flores, you can get a shuttle service and arrive directly to Sayaxché. Remember to book your boat before arriving to Sayaxché.
from cobán
Sayaxché is about an hour an half from cobán taking the Chisec highway.

Don´t forget
Mosquito repellent. We advise you to take long sleeve but fresh shirts for protection. Shorts are also not advisable. Take hiking boots and water shoes. Bring as less trash as you can.
